Mostly thorough the ensemble-collective Kodo, Japanese drum groups (aka "taiko-gumi") have become famous all over the world - and for a good reason, since their rhythmic beats are really contagious! If you've always wanted to play the taiko drums but can't afford it or want something that can fit in a city apartment (taiko can be huge and terribly loud), pioneering electronic instrument maker Roland has the answer: the Roland Taiko-1 Electronic Drum.
Created for both professional musicians as well as amateur taiko fans, the Roland Taiko-1 Electronic Drum comes with 50 preset drum kits, over 100 instruments, and the ability to load 500 samples in 44.1 kHz, 16 bits, and stereo/mono WAV files. It's also Bluetooth-compatible, allowing you to stream music from your smartphone or desktop device while you play along (including using headphones), and it can operate on regular rechargeable batteries, giving you freedom of movement onstage (even if that "stage" is just your bedroom). Put on your favorite Kodo track, grab a pair of sticks, and become your own taiko-gumi!
