Styled in a translucent black finish, the Yamaha 500-Series TRBX505 is a five-string electric bass with a solid mahogany body and a bolt-on mahogany/maple neck. This neck, measuring 34" in scale, offers a rosewood fingerboard with 24 frets. The fixed die-cast bridge bolsters sustain and tuning stability.
For electronics, you'll find dual alnico pickups and a preamp system that allows you to select between active or passive circuitry for a wide variety of tones, all thanks to a two-way switch. The pickups have been specifically tuned to match this selectable circuitry. A master tone knob and volume knob are provided, as are bass, midrange, treble knobs.
